Bell Let’s Talk Day 2022
Mental health continues to be one of our many top-of-mind issues as part of the ongoing response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The annual Bell Let’s Talk awareness campaign helps promote awareness, understanding and empathy towards mental health. Let’s work together to help end the stigma and begin the conversations around mental health today and every day. The past two years have been extremely difficult for many of us in different ways, and it’s okay not to be okay.
On Bell Let’s Talk Day, Bell donates 5 cents to Canadian mental health programs for every applicable text, local or long-distance call or social media post using #BellLetsTalk.
To support our employees we have the following extended benefits available.
-
TELUS Health Virtual Care – a Virtual Health Care platform that connects users via text and video chat with physicians and nurse practitioners instantly.
- Employee Assistance Program available – where care team members visit frequently at a number of our locations but are also available by phone and e-mail.
- Increased benefits for Psychologists or Clinical Counsellors.
Your presence is all it takes.
Although Bell Let’s Talk is the topic of the day, the discussion never stops. Mental health is a 365 day discussion. In addition to posting #BellLetsTalk today, see if you have the energy and headspace to extend your call to action and do one of the following in the days, weeks and years to follow:
- Reach out to a friend you know is struggling and tell them you care.
- Keep talking about and checking in on mental health with your friends, family members, and coworkers.
- Take time for yourself and care for your own mental health by taking a break and prioritizing your own self-care today.
We reached out to a number of our employees to share some words of encouragement to keep the conversation going. See below for what they had to say.
