They worked diligently to achieve this, and we are immensely proud to have them on our team.”
The ATD Academy prepares current and future dealership leaders to enhance departmental efficiency while exploring how emerging technologies and innovations are transforming the industry. Classes at the Academy are taught by industry experts in state-of-the-art classrooms and include hands-on practical applications in every aspect of dealership operations. Students gain a comprehensive understanding of business and dealership management.
Additionally, Academy students spend a day on Capitol Hill, meeting with members of Congress to learn about the legislative process, the significance of dealer advocacy in Washington, D.C., and the benefits of inviting congressional representatives to visit their stores. These experiences help to promote the interests of dealers, their employees, and their customers.
Since its establishment in 1970, the American Truck Dealers (ATD), a division of the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA), has represented franchised medium- and heavy-duty truck dealers with nearly 5,600 franchises, both domestic and import. Since its inception in 1979, the NADA/ATD Academy has prepared over 12,000 graduates for successful and rewarding careers.
